The man named Yellow Lion kept his horses in a corral-about 8 of the most beautiful horses I have ever seen. The were different colors from white to black-like A to Z. On sunny days in the summer my friends and I would get together and "borrow" Yellow Lion's horses. With or without reins we would go on their backs and take off to the mountains playing tag or chicken. Yellow Lion never knew. When we returned them late in the afternoon, the horses had been watered, fed and exercised.
Geraldine is writing her own book on Childhood Memories. These whimsical paintings burst with the joys of Pueblo LIfe. Notice the expressions on their faces...what fun.
